In-House Parts and Labor Warranty Policy
Effective Date: 1/1/2023
Applies To: Mechanical Repairs Performed by Nealey Tire & Auto
1. Warranty Coverage
Duration of Coverage
- Parts: 5 year or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first.
- Labor: 5 year or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first.
What Is Covered
- The warranty covers defects in parts and labor provided by our shop, including:
- Parts installed by our technicians.
- Workmanship and services directly related to the repair.
- Air Conditioning, heating and climate control systems
- Brake system(s)
- Clutches - clutch component or assembly repair and replacement
- Engine cooling system(s)
- Engine performance, drivability services and repair
- Electrical system(s)
- Electronic Engine Management System and other on-board computer systems, (engine, body, brake and suspension computers), cruise control systems
- Emission control system(s)
- Exhaust system(s)
- Fuel system(s)
- Hybrid Drive battery replacements (claim coordinated with battery manufacture for replacement)
- Ignition system(s)
- Starting & Charging system(s)
- Steering and Suspension system(s), wheel bearings, CV joints, U-joints, half-shafts, and driveshafts
- Other minor repairs and services
Exclusions
The warranty does NOT cover:
- Parts or labor for repairs not performed by Nealey Tire & Auto.
- Parts or labor for repairs with used or salvaged parts.
- If using used components, the warranty verbiage supplied from the vendor must be presented to the customer and added to the repair order.
- Parts or labor for repairs with parts not procured by Nealey Tire & Auto (customer supplied parts)
- Parts that failed due to the failure of a different component that was not repaired or replaced
- Failures due to misuse, abuse, neglect, or accidents.
- Routine maintenance items (e.g., brake pads, filters, belts) unless specified as defective.
- Brake work come with a 12 month or 12,000 mile warranty, whichever comes first.
- Consequential damages, such as towing fees, loss of income, or rental car expenses.
- Issues caused by modifications or repairs performed by others.
- Wear-and-tear items, such as tires, bulbs, or fluids.
- Engine: Any internal repairs or replacement of internally lubricated components, or replacement of engine assembly.
- Transmission: Automatic or Manual - any internal repairs or replacement of internally lubricated components, or replacement of transmission assembly or transfer case.
- Drive Axle/Differential: any internal repairs or replacement of internally lubricated components, or replacement of the drive axle/differential assembly, ring gear, pinion shaft, pinion seals, and related gears.
- Tires & Batteries (excluding hybrid drive battery replacement). - See Tire Protection Plan and Battery Warranty Coverage
- Auto body, paint, and molding repair including any repair or materials related to auto body work and glass related repairs.
- Used, salvaged or customer supplied parts.
- Sublet repairs.
- Preventive Maintenance Services (oil changes, fluid changes and flushes, wiper blades, filters).
- Any repairs performed on commercial use vehicles with a load carrying capacity greater than 1 ½ tons (Maximum Gross Vehicle Weight Rating of 16,000 pounds).
2. Warranty Process
How to File a Warranty Claim
- Contact the Nealey Tire & Auto location that performed the initial repairs immediately upon noticing an issue.
- Provide the original receipt or proof of service.
- Schedule an inspection to determine if the issue falls under warranty.
Inspection and Resolution
- A technician will inspect the vehicle to identify the cause of the issue.
- If the issue is covered:
- We will repair or replace the defective part at no cost to the customer.
- If the issue is not covered:
- The customer will receive a detailed explanation and an estimate for repairs.
3. Conditions of Warranty
- The vehicle must be returned to Nealey Tire & Auto for warranty work.
- The warranty is valid only for the original customer and is non-transferable.
- Any warranty work performed without prior approval from Nealey Tire & Auto will void this warranty.
4. Additional Notes
- Fleet Vehicles: Fleet vehicles may have customized warranty terms based on the service agreement.

This warranty is provided in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied. Nealey Tire & Auto disclaims liability for incidental or consequential damages arising from repair failures.
