I had been experiencing my car engine stopping on me while driving. So, I brought it to TWIN BEACH AUTO being close to my address in May 10 at about 11:00 AM. I was told that the car needs an ENGINE TUNE UP! Since, I am driving with a toddler and I do not want to risk any accident by the car stopping in the middle of a drive again, I let them do the tune up so I can drive SAFELY. They are the mechanic, I trusted them. I paid $641, they did the work. By about 4:00 PM, I got the car and drove to Prince Frederick. On my way back, the car didn't just totally stopped in the middle of MD-4, the engine was smoking white with burning smells! Thanks to some good Samaritan, the car (with me and my 3-year old) was pushed safely to the closest parking lot. I called for a tow-truck to have the car towed back to TWIN BEACH AUTO. The moment the tow-truck man opened my hood, he told me to check on factory recalls for this car model's engine. He knew right away that the engine was problematic. May 11, TWIN BEACH AUTO, checked the car and told me to bring it to a Hyundai Dealership for the "Hyundai Sonata Engine Warranty Extension"!!! I felt, scammed! They could have told me this before they asked me to pay for an engine tune up to an engine that is already known to be problematic! I paid $641 for a service that did not do anything for my car and our safety! I felt scammed because I thought after they did the engine tune up, I will be safely driving on the road. Well, it did not happen. Instead, I was driving on a bad engine (which they tuned up!!!!) and ended me in the middle of the road with a smoking car!
