The new ownership is nothing like the previous owner. If you used to go here because the previous owner was honest and trustworthy, you should find a new mechanic. The new people who work here are incompetent and/or dishonest. Their prices are unusually high compared to other shops in the area. They will try to gouge you and take advantage of you instead of taking care of your car like the previous owner did. Gone are the days of John giving an honest assessment of what needed to be done and what could wait. These new owners, Nealey, are some of the worst I have ever encountered. Reviews for this shop from 2022 and earlier are for the previous owner and should not appear as if they were given to Nealey. The new reviews don't seem to be honest and shouldn't be trusted. I want to write a detailed explanation of the situation, so others aren't taken advantage of by Nealey and their dishonest staff. Please don't waste your time and money taking your car to Nealey. There are other honest and reputable mechanics in the Derwood/Rockville area who will treat you much better than Nealey will. Learn from my experience and heed this warning. I tried to evaluate the new owners from reviews and wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I am sorry I did. I learned the hard way and my wallet is significantly lighter for it. The stress of having to listen to the dishonest tactics of Nealey caused undue hardship and worry for me. You don't need to go through what I did. You can see that Nealey is nothing like Rockville Tire and Auto under the old ownership. You can find a new honest mechanic who will provide excellent service at fair prices. I have to reiterate that you, reading this review, have a chance to find a new mechanic. You have a chance to save yourself time and hassle by never taking your car to Nealey. Old, loyal customers of Rockville Tire and Auto, the new owners are not to be trusted. You need to know this, so you can have the piece of mind knowing that your mechanic is honest and trustworthy like you had with the previous owner. You will not have piece of mind if you go to Nealey. Your car will suffer and you will be poorer.
