*long update review of my initial long review* I’ve been taking my 2010 Elantra to Nealey for all of my auto repairs and maintenance for just over 2 years, most recently for new tires (& alignment). I continue to go to and recommend Nealey to others because of their exceptional service (detailed below). I originally chose Nealey because it had the area’s best reviews, and continue to do so because they continue to live up to them. I will add that Nealey is close to my job but not the closest shop to my house. There was a period of time during COVID where I was strictly remote, and I still chose to take my car to Nealey (dropping it off the night before and utilizing their contactless services) because their service is worth it. Why Nealey? First, online appointment scheduling is easy and their response is quick. Second, their communication during the appointment is top notch. They provide a detailed inspection report that includes pictures of any concerns/suggested maintenance with level of urgency. After receiving the report, there's a phone discussion to confirm the work, especially if something unexpected has come up. My first few appointments I had quite a list of repairs (it’s an old family car) and Kenny and Scott were wonderful providing me with estimates and helping me prioritize. With my new tires, I worked with Jeremy for the first time, who was also friendly and communicative. Third, their waiting area is clean and shop looks well maintained. Overall, Nealey seems like a safe and organized place to work. Employees seem happy to be there and there doesn't seem to be any turnover. The same faces are at the service desk and the same technician has worked on my car every time. Rather, Nealey has grown with a new shop in Deale. Overall, Nealey appears to be a business that supports both customers and employees, and I love that. Fourth, upon pick up, my car is in better condition than when I dropped it off. Mats are usually vacuumed and a car wash voucher is provided. One time my vehicle needed to stay longer than anticipated (over the weekend, and then longer because I was away that week). Not only was I not charged for the time I was away, my car was washed and detailed when I returned! Fifth, their warranties and loyalty program provide great benefits, and they are always on top of that. I appreciate them always checking warranty status and available award points before I mention it. With my recent trip, I opted to pay $40 for their Road Hazard Warranty (available on their website) to protect my investment, something that hasn't been offered to me at other shops in the past. The few low/flat tires I have had were exclusively caused by punctures (covered), so it's a piece of mind I was willing to pay for. Finally, the price is right for me. I'm not an expert, but also not car illiterate. (I can and have done more than change a tire and jump cars.) I also have a couple of trusted car enthusiasts in my life. Not only has Nealey always been transparent and trustworthy when it comes to recommended repairs and maintenance, they offer competitive prices for our area. I admit some of the work on my car has fallen on the higher end for the area, but never outside of the estimated range. I don't mind the sometimes higher price to have a trusted, local shop that knows me and my car,and does the job right the first time.
Amy, thank you so much for this awesome review. Long reviews are good - they are great stories to read and make us proud! We are honored to be your new go-to service and are ready to help with all your future needs. Our Best, Nealey Tire & Auto.
